2017 literally flew by for me. It feels like just a couple weeks ago I was in Hilton Head enjoying summer weather yet here we are and I'm another year older. This time last year I was brainstorming for projects and now that I've launched those projects (my redesigned site and new app) I can't wait to see where another year will take me. Now I'm not one for New Years resolutions but when it comes to me starting something new, if it's a small change then I start on the 1st of the month. However, if it's a new lifestyle choice, then I usually wait until the beginning of the year simply for personal structure. With 2018 just starting, I wanted to share 5 things I'm doing this year.
I don't work out...now. But as of January 1, 2018 I plan to hit the gym at least once a week. Not a major difference to some but let's take into account that I also eat about 2 Big Macs a week. With the working out, I'll also be eating a bit healthier. I say a bit because I'll still be eating my usual burgers and fries but I'll also be adding in some salads and stuff like that. Recently I've been loving avocado toast for breakfast and a heavy salad for lunch.
Consistency is key to success in anything and also something that I've been lacking in the past few months due to some lazy planning on my part. If you notice I haven't posted on the blog consistently and I haven't posted on my YouTube channel in 3 weeks. 2018 will bring more consistency in all aspects from me. I've spent most of December working on perfecting my editing, photography, and overall writing which is why I haven't posted much. I'm going to be posting at least 2 times a week on my blog and amping up my channel content and I honestly cannot wait!
Try More New Things
This year I've tried many different things as far as going different places for the first time, trying different foods and drinks, and experimenting more with my personal style. In 2018 I plan to keep this up and keep trying more things that I haven't tried before. This year I've tried egg white cocktails, pho, pressed juice, visited Hilton Head, South Carolina, and started cooking more recipes that'll be up on the blog soon.
I don't have my passport so I haven't been able to travel everywhere I've wanted to go but now that I'm able to travel more places, I cannot wait to explore more. London is at the top of my list along with Bora Bora, the Maldives, Bali, and Hawaii (again). All of these places I've wanted to go a good while except for Hawaii. Seeing so many other people travel to these places and seeing how beautiful they are, I can't wait to get to at least one or two of them in 2018.
I used to be the person that would over apologize for something but I always felt annoying (and annoyed) by it. When I mean live unapologetically, I mean that it's okay to cut people out of your life if they're toxic. It's okay to end that friendship sucking the life out of you. It's okay to not talk to people because you don't like how they make you feel. It's okay to practice self care and not put yourself in situations where it's not mentally healthy for you to be in. But obviously if you're at fault for doing something wrong, just apologize and move on with life.
2018 is going to be exciting and I can't wait to see where I am this time next year.
