After a much needed break from work, it's Sunday afternoon and time for me to relax. No matter what I do (or don't do) during the week, I take Sundays to relax, rejuvenate, and get ready for the upcoming week. I have a few things that I normally do earlier in the morning such as laundry, dishes, folding clothes, etc. but once one o'clock hits, it's time to wind down and come to terms with the weekend being over with. Here are 3 different ways I relax on Sundays.
There's nothing better than a nice long detox bath to end your weekend. In my Loving post from April, I showed the amazing Nature Love charcoal detox body polish that I've been using lately to keep my skin feeling fresh, smooth, and perfectly exfoliated. Pairing the body polish with some epsom salt and bubble bath, I find that I'm the most relaxed I can possibly be. I usually stay in my detox baths for around 30 to 45 minutes and read a little bit or drink a cup of tea or coffee. When I get out, I'm so refreshed.
Listening To New Records
Or albums as most people call them. Since new music is released on Fridays now I usually like to take my Sundays to listen to my latest downloaded albums from top to bottom without stopping. It's one of my favorite things to do and definitely helps me relax. Recently I've been replaying Hopeless Fountain Kingdom by Halsey, Melodrama by Lorde, and Chapter Two: Red by Bea Miller. There's something about listening to a record in it's entirety that just feels so good and calming to me no matter what type of music it is.
Watch A Movie or TV show
There's nothing better than binge watching a show on Netflix in bed or on the couch on a Sunday. Lately though I've been watching more movies on my Sundays and saving my TV shows (or YouTube subscription box) for the week so that they can play in the background while I'm working. I'm a huge movie fan so catching up on all the films I didn't get to see in theaters or just some Quentin Tarantino classics is a great way to spend the day after I've gotten everything ready for the week. Today I've decided to go with Loving and The Hateful Eight.
